From 25-31 July 2026 thirty young Carmelite friars living in different countries in Europe gathered in Fatima, Portugal for a time of retreat and reflection. The theme of their days together was: 'Prophetic Fire: Renewing our Carmelite Heart in the Land of Mary'.
Reflections on Carmelite spirituality by Professor Donna Orsuto of the Gregorian University, Rome, offered inspiring insights into Carmel's continuing relevance in responding to the spiritual hungers of searching hearts in today's world.
