✨ Praying with Icons — Week 2
This week we gathered again in the quiet candlelight of the Carmelite Centre for our Lenten journey of Praying with Icons.
The sacred icons, gentle glow of candles, and moments of deep silence created a space where hearts could slow down and simply rest in the presence of God. These photos offer a glimpse of the atmosphere of prayer that has begun to unfold.
It is not too late to join us.
Each Wednesday of Lent, Br Daryl Moresco, O.Carm guides this contemplative evening of prayer through Scripture, Taizé chant, silence and intercession — allowing the holy icons to become windows into the mystery of Christ.
Each evening includes:
- Scripture reflection
- Taizé chant
- Silence and stillness
- Intercessory prayer
- Candlelight and meditative music
